Founded in 1982
Tennessee Farm Winegrowers Alliance (TFWA)
is a coalition of the wineries, meaderies, cideries, farm wineries, and vineyards throughout the great state of Tennessee. We support and encourage the production of commercial wines, grapes, and other wine making fruit within the state as viable agricultural industries within Tennessee. TFWA works closely with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Center for Profitable Ag, and the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture to promote our wines, as well as other Tennessee agricultural products. Though most of our members are Tennessee wineries and grape growers, memberships are available to vendors, corporate sponsors, and the general public as an associate member.

The Tennessee Farm Winegrowers Alliance (TFWA)
is your voice on local, state and national levels regarding all issues impacting our industry. We need you! Have you ever heard of us? We are the united voice that speaks on everything from legislation to local zoning for the grape and wine industry in Tennessee. Some of our recent successes are:
- Custom Crush Legislation
- Wine Festivals
- Satellite Wineries
- Self Distribution
- Registered Apprenticeship Program
- New Grower Education
- Secured Grant funding
- Wine Sales by the glass
- Increased Number of Wine Festivals Annually (12)*
- Removal of Requirement for Server Permit
- Removal of Requirement for Managers Permit

With your help, we can go even further.
We have accomplished this with just volunteers from our organization and our legislative partners. We are stronger together and want you to be a part of the team to keep our industry moving forward.
Quarterly meetings are rotated across the state and an annual meeting each year. As you look at our program, you’ll notice it’s designed to be both educational and enlightening as we achieve our goal of remaining a vital and accomplished industry in Tennessee
If you are a part of the Tennessee grape and wine industry we hope you will consider becoming a member of TFWA. Our dues are paid annually and allow you to be included in marketing efforts such as tourism brochures, participation in wine festivals throughout the state, and inside tips on maneuvering through the political challenges of the wine industry.
* Membership in TFWA is required for a winery or farm winery to participate in festivals hosted by our organization.
